Stove Compatibility

Gas and electric coil stoves work with all models.

Glass-top stoves: The 910, 915, 921, and 925 are suitable for glass-top stoves. The 930 and 941 are too heavy and too wide for glass-top stoves.

Weight: Typical flat-top stove weight limits are 50-60 pounds. The weights listed are empty. Add 20–30 lbs for water and jars in the 910–925, and 40–50 lbs in the 930 and 941.

Burner Fit: The canner diameter may extend beyond your burner and transfer heat to nearby surfaces — ensure adequate clearance from countertops.

Height clearance: If you're buying a 925, 930, or 941, measure from your burner up to your range hood or microwave before ordering — taller canners can be a tight fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 41 Quart Pressure Canning Kit is best suited for very large families, bulk food preservation, homesteaders, and serious home canners. It holds up to 32 pint jars or 19 quart jars, allowing you to preserve large quantities in fewer batches. If you want maximum capacity and efficiency, the 941 is the ultimate All American pressure canner.

The 41 Quart Pressure Canning Kit is not recommended for glass or ceramic cooktops due to its size and weight when fully loaded. At up to 80–90 lbs during operation, it may exceed stove weight limits and extend beyond the burner, potentially transferring heat to surrounding surfaces. For safest operation, this canner should be used on gas or electric coil stoves only.

Correct! All American Canners use a precision-machined metal-to-metal seal. There are NO rubber gaskets to wear out, replace, or fail. Simply lubricate the rim as instructed, and your canner will seal perfectly for decades. Many customers use 40+ year old canners.

A pressure canner is larger and maintains precise pressure levels needed for safely preserving low-acid foods like meat and vegetables. According to the USDA, it must hold at least 4 quart jars to qualify as a safe canner. According to the USDA, a pressure canner must hold at least 4 quart jars to qualify as a safe canner. The 41 Quart Pressure Canning Kit far exceeds this requirement, holding up to 19 quart jars per batch. You CAN cook in a canner, but you CAN'T safely can in most pressure cookers.

With proper care, your All American canner should last multiple generations. We regularly hear from customers using canners from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s that still work perfectly. The cast aluminum construction doesn't wear out, and since there's no gasket, the seal never fails. This is truly a lifetime investment.

This kit includes the All American 941 41 Quart Pressure Canner, a six-piece canning tool kit, and the Ball Blue Book guide to home canning.

A bundled kit gives you the canner, essential jar-handling tools, and a trusted guide book together, saving time and simplifying setup for safe home canning.

Yes. The Ball Blue Book is a classic guide that covers home canning fundamentals, recipes, and step-by-step instructions for preserving.
